I explored it through the hours, the light, the encounters, and the emotions. I listened to visitors' gazes fall upon my works, their words, their silences, their memories. Gradually, this village became\u003cbr\u003emuch more than a landscape: it became an emotion. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI did not seek to paint Gordes as it is. I wanted to paint it as I\u003cbr\u003efelt it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe blocks of color tell the many facets of the village, the houses that seem to interlock like so many life stories. The ochres, blues, greens, and lavenders evoke Provence, while the thick textures and drips convey the passage of time, the moments that leave an imprint, the memories that\u003cbr\u003enever fade.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe white lines sketch a free, almost fragile architecture, like a thread of memory connecting each stone, each encounter, each exchanged glance during\u003cbr\u003ethis exhibition. They do not seek perfection, but emotion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this work, I deliberately took the liberty of reinventing Gordes. Not to reproduce the village, but to reveal what it left in me: an energy, a\u003cbr\u003elight, a human depth.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis painting is an extension of my exhibition \"The Memory of the Gaze.\" It is a testament to two weeks of exchange, trust, sharing, and emotions.
